    The crisp, flaky outer scales of onions could be used in salads, soups and casseroles. This outer skins offer an excellent source of Vitamin A, E, C and antioxidants. It has abundant flavonoids especially quercetin which acts as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. When discarded, it cut out phenylpropanoid antioxidants that protects heart and combat aging process, lower cholesterol and enhance immunity.

    1. Antioxidant source

    Peels contains more antioxidants which manage the free radical infection. The increment of free radicals in the body lowers the body’s immunity.

    Add onion peels in the water for 10 minutes. Boil it and gargle. It helps to lower the inflammation in throat with its anti-inflammatory properties.

    The dry and ungrowing hair could be treated with the use of onion peels. Mix onion peels in water and boil. Then wash hair with regular shampoo. Then rinse hair with this solution so that hair becomes soft, smooth and also eliminates dandruff.
